I Keep Messing Up, Lord! How Can I Change?

ANSWER: God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what please him......    Philippians 2:13

We are God's masterpiece..... He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago......    Ephesians 2:10

As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby..... 1 Peter 2:2

For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God..... 1 Peter 1:23

All Scripture is given by God and is useful for  teaching, for correcting faults, and for teaching how to live right.... Using the Scriptures, the person who serves God will be capable, having all that is needed to do every good work.....    2 Timothy 3:16,17

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God...... Let them be a living and holy sacrifice---- the kind he will accept...... When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Dont copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think..... Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know what how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.......  Romans 12:1,2

Do not merely listen to the word, and so decieve yourselves...... Do what it says........   James 1:22

" Everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house upon the rock..... And the rain fell, and the flood came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock."                Matthew 7:24-27

" This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it... For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."               Joshua 1:8

PROMISES:   If anyone is in Christ, he us a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new..........          2 Corinthians 5:17

God gives us what it takes to do all that we do.........                 2 Corinthians 3:5

In the past you were slaves to sin---- sin controlled you..... But thank God, you fully obeyed the things that you were taught...... You were made free from sin, and now you are slaves to goodness.......    Romans 6:17,18

And having been set free from sin, you have become the servants of righteousness.......    Romans 6:18

PRAYERS: We keep on praying for you that our God...... will make you as good as you wish you could be!--- rewarding your faith with his power..... Then everyone will be praising the name of the Lord Jesus Christ because of the results they see in you; and your greatest glory will be that you belong to him..... The tender mercy of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ has made all this possible for you.......     2 Thessalonians 1:11,12

We have kept on praying and asking God to help you understand what he wants you to do; asking him to make you wise about spiritual things; and asking that the way you live will always please the Lord and honor him, so that you will always be doing good, kind things for others, while all the time you are learning to too that you will be filled with his mighty, glorious strength so that you can keep going no matter what happens ------ always full of the joy of the Lord.......          Colossians 1:9-11

EXAMPLE:  The Apostle Paul experienced a tremendous turnaround in his life as he recieved God's grace:

Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief....... The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus......     1 Timothy 1:13,14

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners...... I am proof----- Public Sinners Number One----- of someone who could never have made it  apart from sheer mercy..... And now he shows me off------ evidence of his endless patience------ to those who are right on the edge of trusting him forever......      1 Timothy 1:15,16

My husband Lem is very happy for Saints ...... He is so exciting for Saints.....  I watched tv with him..... We had enjoyed and relaxed to watch for Saints.....   

I Have Made A Big Mistake, And I Feel Bad.

QUESTION: Will you forgive me, Lord?

ANSWER: I am glad .... that you were jarred into turning things around.... You let the distress bring you to God, not drive you from him.... The result was all gain, no loss......      2 Corinthians 7:9

God can use sorrow in our lives to help us turn away from sin..... Just see what this godly sorrow produced in you!...... You showed that you have done everything you could to make things right......    2 Corinthians 7:10,11

INSTRUCTIONS:  He who conceal his sin does not proser, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy......     Proverbs 28:13

Blessed is the whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered, Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him.....      Psalm 32:1,2

There was a time when I would not admit what a sinner I was.... But my dishonesty made me miserable and filled my days with frustration....... I finally  admitted all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them....... I said to myself, " I will confess them to the Lord." And you forgave me!  All my guilt is gone......   Psalm 32:3,5

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed....... The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with........   James 5:16

PROMISES:   Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you....... If your heart is broken, you will find God right there........      Psalm 34:17,18

He heals the heartbroken and bandages their wounds.......    Psalm147:3

If we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin..... If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us..... If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness..... 1 John 1:7-9

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our trangressions from us......  Psalm 103:12

PRAYERS: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love;  according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions....... Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.... For I know my trangressions, and my sin is always before me.......   Psalm 51:1-3

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a sreadfast spirit within me........ Psalm 51:10

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us....... comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work...... The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one......        2 Thessalonians 2:16,17; 3:3

EXAMPLE: King David is an example of a man who recieved God's forgiveness and then forgave himself;

I said, " I will confess my trangressions to the Lord" and You forgave the iniquity of my sin........ You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance..... Selah..... Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!         Psalm 32:5,7,11

God's gift of righteousness was so real to David that he was able to once again see himself as one of the righteous, as one who was upright in heart.... And teh revelation of God's mercy made him shout for joy!
